Common questions

A real video got flagged as AI. Why?

AI detection is an evolving field, and our model can be wrong in both directions. Real videos with heavy editing, slow-motion, AI upscaling, or unusual lighting can trip it. So can compression artifacts on short, fast-moving clips.

You can hit the "Wrong?" button on the badge — that feedback helps us improve detection. If a clip you're sure is real keeps getting flagged, email us with the link and we'll take a look.

An AI video wasn't caught. Why?

The hardest content to detect is photorealistic AI footage where every individual frame looks plausible. Especially well-crafted face swaps or temporally-consistent AI clips can slip through.

Use the "Wrong?" button or email us — every missed clip helps us tune the model.

How do free scans work?

You get 3 free deep scans per day, no sign-in required. The counter resets at midnight UTC. Community-cached scores, AI-content labels, and hashtag detection don't count toward this — they're unlimited.

How do credit packs work?

One-time packs: $5 / 100 scans, $10 / 225 scans, $20 / 500 scans. No subscription, and your credits never expire. Sign in with Google to buy and to keep your balance across devices.

I bought credits but my balance hasn't updated.

Payment confirmation should reach our backend within a few seconds. If your balance still shows the old number after a couple minutes:

• Reopen the extension popup (sometimes it caches the old number).
• Make sure you're signed in with the same Google account you used at checkout.
• If still not showing, email us with your purchase email and we'll fix it manually.

I want a refund.

Unused credits are refundable within 14 days of purchase. Consumed credits aren't refundable, but if the product broke for you and you couldn't use them, we'll make it right. Read the full refund policy, then email us and we'll handle it.

The badge isn't showing on videos.

A few things to try in order:

• Refresh the page after installing or updating the extension.
• Check that the extension is enabled at chrome://extensions.
• Make sure you're on a supported site (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, Reddit, LinkedIn, Vimeo, SyncSketch).
• Some sites disable extensions in private/incognito mode by default.

What sites does it work on?

YouTube (including Shorts), TikTok, Instagram (Reels), Facebook, X/Twitter, Reddit, LinkedIn, Vimeo, and SyncSketch. We're adding more — let us know what you want.

How is my data handled?

To score a video, we send its frames to our backend for analysis — the frames aren't stored, only the resulting score is cached. If you sign in with Google to buy credits, we store your email to link your account. We don't read private messages, track browsing, or sell data. Full privacy policy.
